Tim Douthit

Tim Douthit started playing harp some 40 years ago, back when you could afford a bunch of them without selling a car first. In the early days, he learned his craft at numerous gigs and jams in Houston, New York, and across Europe, eventually settling down and playing as a duo with guitar ace Danny Jones on the east coast. In recent years, Tim has been a third of Ann Arbor’s Blue Rays Trio with Ralph McKee and Peter Holland, playing numerous local venues and festivals.  He’s been honored to share the stage with blues greats including John Primer, Russell B. Jackson (BB King’s bass player), Eric Demmer (Gatemouth Brown’s sax player), and Jonn Del Toro Richardson. "If it doesn't mean anything to you, it probably isn't worth doing."
